Did you know the Purgatoire River is the largest tributary to the Arkansas River in Colorado? In this renowned Rocky Mountain PBS Documentary, we will follow the Arkansas River from its headwaters to the Eastern plains.
The showing is free and open to the public. Come learn more about water resources and river use as it pertains to the Arkansas River, its tributaries, and our area.
After the film, there will be a discussion led by several local water experts:
Steve Kastner - Purgatoire River Water Conservancy District,
Gil Ramirez - City of Trinidad Water Manager,
Jeff Montoya - Local water commissioner
Tom Verquer - Local rancher and farmer and Arkansas Basin Roundtable representative
